Bacoli is a City very close to Naples where the ancient Greeks decided to found a colony. Then the rich ancient Romans used this city to live during their holidays because the territory was very rich of thermal springs. The city is full of Greek and Roman archeological finds.
This project won the first prize for the "ideas competition" to redesign the new coat of arms for the City of Bacoli (Italy), in 2004. The outline follows a very simple construction. The drawing is inspired by famous monuments and characteristics of the city. - first image -
After the competition, the city of Bacoli, according to the Heraldic Office of the Italian Republic, decided to regulary register its new coat of arms, following all stricted rules of Helardry (specific colours and shapes) - second image -
