Vitis is a bio-mimetic module.
The project was developed by observing the way how some plants can cling through their tendrils. Vitis, made of polystyrene injection, has different connecting joints which make the module grows in all directions in space creating bio-mimetic wall.
The repetition of this single elementary component creates an irregular skin while achieving visual richness. By adding different modules, it is possible to calibrate the light passing through them.
The impression given is a wall that can grow spontaneously and, thanks to the material, if somebody interacts with the layout of the wall, the aspect of it suddenly changes, "recording" his passage.
